Pupil Premium funding is allocated to schools so that schools can narrow the gap between children from disadvantaged backgrounds and advantaged backgrounds. The pupil premium funding received by the school is based on the number of children eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), Service Children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months. This includes pupils eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (known as the Ever 6 FSM measure).

2016-2017 Allocation £93,720

During the financial year of 2016-2017 the pupil premium money will be used to provide the following:

  •  Additional teachers and teaching assistants who will help to raise standards of attainment and achievement through the provision of 1-1 and group support across the different year groups.
  •  Enrichment activities e.g. music lessons, sports clubs, residential and other supplementary activities deemed to enrich the experience of pupils who would not otherwise have the opportunity.
  •  Counselling sessions or play therapy to meet pupils individuals needs
  •  Booster sessions to support accelerated learning in order to narrow the gap
  •  Learning mentor to support the work of the SENCo to support specific groups of children
  •  Parent support adviser to support parents in pupil attendance, access to the curriculum, liaise with parents with English as a second Language
  •  Multi skills – so that more children can access sport and physical activities
  •  1-1 sessions
  •  Peer mentoring
  •  Resources
